These are talks between filmmakers whose films are part of this year’s theme programme. In response to the theme of Possessed, we selected 8 programmes of films and performances, which we titled The Unpossessable Possessor.

It was always our intention to show the works in the programme in person and in their original formats. But considering the circumstances, we’ve had to adapt. We hope to present the full programme in the near future but for the moment we’ve made a selection that is available for streaming.

A very important part of our experience has always been the conversations that occur spontaneously after a screening. Having lost this opportunity for the time being, we decided to artificially create the conditions for some of these conversations to happen (and for us to eavesdrop).

For each conversation we asked two filmmakers to talk to each other about their films, their relationship to their own and each other’s images and the idea of the film machine as the Unpossessable Possessor.

A special thanks to the filmmakers that took part in these conversations. We hope you enjoy these talks as much as we did.
