In the midst of a lockdown during the Covid-19 pandemic, I started paying more attention to the ordinariness of daily routines, discovering an interest in the poetics of slowing down. This fascination paired up with recent experiments in sound. I noticed that my laundry machine played a steady cadence before commencing its cycle, a rhythm that seemed to synchronise the movement of my direct surroundings. In a rapid cut, views from the laundry room are set to the beat of the machine, leaving just enough time for snippets to imprint themselves on the skips of a looking eye.
